I SPENT THE DAY ON A SCAFFOLD!

For a girl who is slightly afraid of heights, Ross at Western GMC made me feel safe up on the scaffold. Watching me get down off the scaffold would have been amusing - graceful NOT! I’ll miss doing work at Western GMC (I don’t think they have any bare windows left!) .... till their next big promotion.

A Keepsake in a Painting

What a perfect way to have a lasting memory of a loved one. My client’s Grandmother loved iris’. This flower painting will be something that will warm their home and warm her heart for years to come.
I thoroughly enjoyed using a palette knife for a lot of it.

Acrylic painting on canvas 2.5’X3’.

The colours in the painting were chosen by my client. Another nice advantage to commission me to do a painting. I'd love to create a painting for you too...

I'm at Western GMC Edmonton this week painting windows!

Spending some quality time at Western GMC this week painting windows!  The management are awesome and the salesmen more than happy to help me in any way.  There are some places I feel comfortable being a part of right away and others, not as much.  Western GMC is a good one!   Standing on their 10 ft ladder for these Window Paintings...

Looking at the Bright Side of Life!

Here is lookin' at the bright side of life!

As an Edmonton artist I get to meet a lot of interesting people, most are out at an event enjoying the brighter side of life.  I often get to go to parties, weddings, special events and community outings to draw caricatures or do face painting.  Companies, organizations and sports teams contact me to design graphics and logos.  Others have me add cartoons to their advertisements.  I have done many paintings,  whether it be murals or on canvas.  These commissioned paintings are perfect for home or office.  Businesses also contact me to design signs, or do window painting.

I like what I do and feel lucky that I get to see people who get to look at bright side of life

Gallery: Dreamnight at the zoo for Stollery Children

The Edmonton Valley Zoo’s 4th Annual Dreamnight for Stollery Children for chronically ill children and those with disabilities from the Stollery Children’s Hospital was held June 3, 2011. Along with parents and siblings, hundreds of guests were treated to animal encounters, musical guests, magic shows and face painting. Dreamnight at the Zoo started at the Rotterdam Zoo in Holland in 1996 as a way for chronically ill children and those with disabilities to experience a night at the zoo free of charge.

I never tire of doing caricatures and I had a wonderful group of people I got to meet and draw at Millcreek Pool’s opening party.

Come visit me and get a caricature at Oliver Pool’s Annual Opening on Saturday, June 18th, 12 - 4 p.m. Caricatures are free with pool admission.  Remember to arrive  early, there’s always a line of people wanting one.  I will be giving out numbers so you can enjoy the rest of the festivities without waiting in line.

Hidden Nature Gems in Edmonton

I recently did some GRAPHIC RECORDING for a Community Recreation Coordinator with The City of Edmonton. The specific topic I was recording was a conversation about “Hidden Nature Gems in Edmonton”, after watching a documentary/movie called “Play Again”. The movie was about the consequences of a childhood removed from nature.
My job was to graphically record the ideas people had in their discussion of the topic. You have to work fast!
