CARICATURES AT EVENTS
Laurél has drawn at various public and private events in and around Edmonton for 30 plus years! She has drawn at birthday parties, graduations, wedding receptions, staff appreciation days, conventions, galas, store promotions, festivals, sporting events and more!
In Laurél's own words, "I never get tired of drawing people because no two people look the same, even twins don’t! Each new face is a new challenge.”
I really enjoy chatting with people as I draw them. It gives me a chance to get to know their personality a little bit so I know whether I should draw them with a small smile or a big one. I’ve had some really interesting conversations with people over the years as I’ve drawn them!"
Laurél’s caricatures usually take about 5 - 6 minutes per person at events. Drawn in black and white, head and shoulders, as seen in the photo examples here.
