Face Painting for Fraser Community League

Fraser Community League (NE Edmonton, Alberta) asked me to face paint for their community event. They had food and lots of games for the kids … as well as me face painting! 

This little guy loved his tiger face paint! He would come back every once in awhile to take a look at himself in my hand mirror. I would know each time because he would also growl as he looked at his face! Sure makes you smile when you know that someone likes what you painted for them that much.

They had a group of teenage girls volunteering and right near the end they came over to get some face painting. So they decided they wanted their legs done. I think seeing all of them here is pretty neat. I was glad to be able to do something cool for volunteers.

Face Painting at Inglewood Community for EPS Safety Fair Sat July 6

Hi everyone;  I will be face painting at the Inglewood Community for Edmonton Police Services West Division Safety Fair Saturday July 6, 2013 12:00 - 3:00 PM.  drop by and get something funky to wear for the day!

This is my third year to participate (or forth - were does the time go?)  In the past there have been a lot of community information and things for the kids to do.  There is a big tent so, it is a rain-or-shine event.  one year the Air-one police helicopter was there and other police teams like the K9.

Oliver Community Festival

I was busy today with two caricature events. Thoroughly enjoying myself at both of them. I love meeting people and giving them something that they can take away and hopefully enjoy looking at for a long time. My first event of the day was the Oliver Community Festival. They had a few streets blocked off with a lot of neat stuff. Jumpy Things, all sorts of booths, a free lunch and I did caricatures. Here are just a few of the good lookin' people I met and drew! .... It was nice to be able to do a caricature for some of the people that volunteered that day. They are the ones in the green t-shirts. A volunteer is a valuable thing.

It was a great night to do caricatures for Baturyn Community's Volunteers! They were expecting a complimentary dinner but also got a caricature to take home!


As a volunteer myself, I can say that it's always good to show volunteers that they are appreciated. Hopefully they enjoy their drawings for years to come.

Face Painting at Community League Winter Fun Day

Today was my 3rd or 4th annual face painting job at Belvedere Community League’s Winter Family Fun Day.

 They do such a great event with face painting (of course), a spaghetti lunch and lots of outdoor activities. It as a nice warm winter day in Edmonton for it. I’ve been impressed with a good showing of people at their annual event no matter what the weather. Neat to recognise some of the kids and to see them growing up just a bit more each time I come back!
