My Latest Roller Derby Logo Design

I've done a few roller derby logos over the last few years and here is my latest! 

It's for Sturgeon County Junior Roller Derby Association. I think the skater is pretty cute and fierce!

Why the DO NOT COPY all over it? Well it seems as though some new roller derby clubs have tried to use my art in the past. It's quite frustrating as an artist because this is how I make my living and some people think they can use it without paying for it just because they are able to copy it off the internet. Please respect the effort that I took to do it and respect the fact that SCRDA paid me for it. It is mine and it is theirs. If you'd like me to work on a logo for you, please contact me and I'd love to do something cool for you too!

Caricatures at Jr. Roller Derby Invitational

With one hour in between my events, I headed to the Greater Edmonton Junior Roller Derby Association's Capital City Carnage, bout invitational. A triple header. I was really busy so I wasn't able to watch much roller derby. They had 3 different level of games. A no contact game, a contact but no hitting game (positional blocking/light contact) and a full on contact game! This one was fun for me because there were a lot of people I knew, lots of friendly faces! My daughter did roller derby with this junior league until she turned 18 and moved up to the women's league (E-Ville Roller Derby).

Even though I was busy drawing pretty much the whole time, it was nice that my daughter was there and popped over to say hi a few times. She was there volunteering.

 Ya know, in a perfect world, I'd have a caricature gig booked almost every day. I do love it!  There were a whole lot more photos I wish I'd taken at this event. I drew some  real cute girls in their funky derby attire. Again, here are a couple of my favourites.
